What is EVETycoon?  Well, it would be difficult to sum it up in one simple description as it does a lot of things.  But I’ll try.  Basically, EVETycoon is a trading tool that I developed to assist me in my style of trading, which is primarily placing buy orders and reprocessing items for minerals.  However, as I’ve expanded ET it has taken on a lot of sub-roles.

In essence, ET is a virtual item reprocessor.  Most every item in EVE has two values.  I refer to them as intrinsic and mineral values.  Intrinsic is what an items is worth to someone who really wants it.  Mineral value is what the item is worth if you reprocessed it and sold it’s components.   Intrinsic values are almost never the same as mineral values.  For example: 1MN Afterburner I’s hold very little intrinsic value as pilots prefer the named ones.  However, if you reprocess it, you get minerals.  The whole purpose of EVETycoon is to help you spot items on the market that you can put in buy orders for and purchase them for a lot less than their mineral value.

EVETycoon, by using MarketLogs exported from the EVE Client, allows you to quickly spot potentially profitable trades, whether you’re in the retail or reprocessing business.  EVETycoon is also valuable to industrialists as you can quickly spot potentially profitable items to build.
