Trading can be one of the most profitable career’s in EVE. I dare to call it a career because depending on which avenue you choose, it can be more of a passing interest. Unlike most isk making methods in EVE, trading generates the best kind of income, passive. Once you set up a buy or a sell order, it can run up to 90 days without you even looking at it. Whether it succeed though is a different story.

I’ve been a trader in EVE for about 4 years now. I’ve made billions and have lost billions. Fortunately, the billions I’ve lost were never in trading but more from my own stupidity (like forgetting to fuel a large POS in low sec and having it taken down a day later by a large alliance). However, I didn’t start making billions on my first try at trading. As a matter of fact, I was happy losing what little I did and got the hell away from trading for a long time afterward.
